I recently read about an organization that helps feed poorer countries using balanced 100% vegan meals. The purpose was to not only avoid harming the environment further just to feed people, but to prevent as much waste as possible. All the grain that goes into feeding cattle alone would be enough to help, but in a vastly non-vegan world, the point was to at least attempt a food drive that takes as little oil and makes as little waste as possible. I thought this was wonderful, what do you think?

I’d have to actually know who the organization is and how they actually go about doing what they do.

Only because an organization can have great intentions but through practice hurt the local economies [via putting local food vendors/farmers/food producers who need the money out of business].

Or they can simply have a good model but bad intentions.

So yeah, wanting to feed the hungry and doing so in a sustainable way - food on face value. But we still want to make sure and see how this practice plays out in the real world, and that it s still sensitive/conscious of local needs/traditions/economies.
